Founded in 2012 by Conductor, Dr. Sean Boulware, Aria Women's Choir is an auditioned group of female vocalists who live on the central coast of California. Women who are dedicated to bringing high levels of choral music everywhere they go. Aria is in demand to sing some of the most recent as well as historic choral works with great dedication and art!
Aria has been hailed as one of the best women's choirs in California and has 3 main concerts per year. In November they begin their season with sacred and historical music, and major works either just written or newly arranges for women's voices. In March, Aria sings what is new and relevant in the world of choral music, and this concert is always titled, "She Sings!". In June Aria loves to bring out popular, jazz, and musical theater works to life, singing some of the most powerful and cutting-edge choral music that exists.
Aria has already risen to critical acclaim from the surrounding community and in 2016 they made their Solo Ensemble debut at Carnegie Hall in NYC. The ideals and principles of Aria are to celebrate Women and the voices of women, and the art of women everywhere they go! By joining together with women in the Monterey/Santa Cruz area, we want to give women an artistic voice to bring loud and proud! We are Women! We are Strong!
